Prepare and paint wheels
Black spokes. Polished edges. A little red soul.
Robin’s attitude lives in the details. Tucked inside the rim, a flash of red waits for the light, the angle, and the person who looks twice.

The idea
A closer look tells the story.
I wanted the red to feel like something Robin carries within. The black wheel face keeps its presence, the polished lip catches the light, and the color inside adds depth. You see a glimpse between the spokes, then another as your angle changes.
That is the hidden soul of this build. A small detail with a little defiance in it. Something personal, worked into a place that is easy to overlook and hard to forget once you notice it.

01 / Preparation
Set the stage
The work starts on the inside. With the wheel off the car, the barrel becomes the focus. The first photo catches the preparation stage, with the center masked and the original inner finish still visible. This is the quiet part of the transformation, before the color gets its moment.

02 / Sanding illustration
The work beneath the color
Illustrative preparation scene based on Robin’s wheel, not a photo of the actual sanding work. It shows the idea behind this stage: an evenly dulled inner surface, with the surrounding areas protected before color is applied.

03 / Paint
Give the inside a voice
Inside the spray shelter, the idea becomes visible. Red fills the barrel while masking surrounds the edge and covers the center. Off the car, it looks bold. Behind the black spokes, that same color becomes a detail you discover a little at a time.
04 / Color & clear finish
The finish behind the flash.
The project photos document Krylon Fusion All-In-One in Gloss Red Pepper and Rust-Oleum Crystal Clear Enamel. The red brings the character; the clear finish is the protective finishing step in the story.
05 / The reveal
Quiet presence.
Red running deep.
Back on Robin, the spokes break the red into flashes. The wheel still reads black and polished metal at first glance. Look deeper and the personality comes through.
That little glimpse is the reward for all the work inside the rim. Robin has a wild streak. Now you know where to look.
