Replace driver-front turn-signal bulb

Planned

One front turn-signal bulb is out. The SYLVANIA two-pack is purchased; getting behind the light is the next garage job.

The project record

Where the project stands

One of Robin’s front turn-signal bulbs went out, so I picked up a two-pack of SYLVANIA 4157NA Long Life amber bulbs. They’re here and ready, but the installation is still on my to-do list.

This is one of those little repairs where reaching the part looks like the bigger job. My plan is to remove the wheel and move part of the wheel-well liner out of the way so I can get behind the light. I’m setting aside time for the access and reassembly, rather than treating it as a quick bulb swap. I’ll document how the job actually goes when I tackle it.

Plenty of owners take a burned-out bulb as an opportunity to switch to LED. I haven’t chosen to make that switch on Robin’s lights yet. For now, I’m keeping this repair straightforward with a conventional amber replacement bulb. LEDs may be part of a future lighting project, but they aren’t the plan for this job.

This page starts with the plan and selected parts. Installation photos, decisions and results will be added as the work happens.
